garden pond question! please help!!?

my husband and i are building a garden pond in our backyard. we dont want to have an electrician install a GFCI unit so we are leaning towards a solar powered pump. we have found plenty but i’m wondering is can a fountain pump be used to create a waterfall? if you have any experience or know of any great sites to help please include with your answer. thanks in advanced!!

    Yes, a fountain pump can be used for a waterfall. You will just have to buy one with moe power. You can go to any garden or hardware store (Home Depot, etc.). Check out their fountains. They usually sell the fountains separate from the pumps. The information on each fountain will tell you what size pump you need to get. This will give you an idea of the size that you need to pump the amount of water and the distance that you want.
